Where do I start?
Well, I seem to have spent the whole weekend in smokey establishments, which is no fun for a non-smoker!
Last nights sober trip to Jumpin Jaks was a complete nightmare.
I've never seen so many women degrading themselves on stage/dancefloor, some of them actually looked like they should know better, why were they so shocked when the chav boys tried to move in?
(I understand now why some places dont allow trainers - a pair of Nike running shoes and trackie top are not what you want to see when you've made an effort to get dressed)
The most disheartening fact was that some of these 'ladies' have been spotted in my establishment albeit in a not so relaxed state. I'm not against people having a good time, just dissapointed that you'd rather do it inside such a chav factory.
Oceana saw its opening weekend in Nottingham, a breif visit was had to "the port" which proved a little dissapointing but the remainder of the club will be seen another time! (hopefully this Thursday, eh Ange?)
Looks like Luminar leisure think they have Nottm wrapped up, i'm still sceptical about it working being so far off-track.
Mansfield.
Saturday night was spent in the party town of Mansfield, an excellent run with some banging tunes (does everyone have hearing problems there or am i getting old? ringing ears is the sign of a bad soundsystem!) I have to say the crowd is so much more up for it than Nottms general 'bored' look, first time i've had my bum squeezed for many years.
The club was a bit of an anti-climax, after several up-for-it bars we ended up in a replica of "the Works" which was full of posers. They called it "Liquid". Credit to the dancers, you made it 10 times better.
